Bike 64 &
65 Puch 2500SG en 175SV Next week to his location with the BMW on the trailer and we got along with each other. Both the Puch were dirty, dusty and bad looking, however complete and he told me that the 250 should be running but the 175 was having problems with the electrical system. At home I decided to clean both the bikes the next day and called the company in order to take a day off. After only a little cleaning of the 250 she turned out to be in mind condition (looking), the battery needed to be re-charged, and yes with a few kicks she was running (noisy but running). After renewal of the pistons and the cylinder she was running good and the first longer trip has been made already. The 175 took some more time, but also after cleaning she was looking good. I found the clutch slipping a complete dead battery and bad wiring. After renewal of the wiring and battery and adjusting the clutch I was able to start her and found the generator not working. This turned out to be the voltage regulator, I had one left and replaced the regulator. Restarted the 175 and did the first test run (in the back yard), without checking the brakes first. Too bad, She is fast like hell and I ended in the fence. First tested the brakes took her outside the yard and re-tested. Running great and even braking by now. Have been used often for tour rides.
