Puch Scooter RLA 125
We really did not want to buy
an other Scooter, but what to do if you find a complete
Puch Scooter type
RLA 125 from the first owner included with all original papers from the
buyer. there is no way you say NO. The scooter is bought ten years ago in
Austria and even in Austria she did not drive for a long time, the last year
she was used was 1976. The seller bought the scooter and wanted to restore
her, however it took him more then ten years to decided not to restore and
instead to sell her. I found the add on Wednesday and bought her the next
Thursday. Every thing looked Oke. At home I checked her and found the gas tap
clogged (not too strange because the gas in the tank was also more then 20
years old) repaired the tap and checked the carburetor and found Oke and put
some new gas in the tank. I took the car in order to use the battery and
tried to start her, after some time she was running.
Checked the brakes and
Ineke took her for a small ride, too bad I forgot to open the tap again,
after about 600 m she got stuck and did not know were to find the tap, so
she had to walk back. After opening the tap she tried again and now it all
seems to be Oke and not just a bit Oke but running perfectly. We are not
sure if we will repaint the scooter because she is still in original
condition and not too bad looking and having her original is also nice. We
will see what is going to happen.
Never restored didn't want it, she was nice as
she was. Sold February 2016
