Bike (scooter)
44 Tatran
Again I wanted something else
and due to having the IWL I now like the Eastern Europe Motor scooters.
Special after our very nice trip we made through this part of Europe. Buying
is easy so I wanted to trade again. Whilst looking at the internet I found
an ad in which somebody said he wanted to trade a couple of his Eastern
European Scooters for something else.
Mailing to him was easy and
I offered him to trade mine Heinkel (yellow A2) for two of his scooters
namely Tatran 125 and Cezeta 501.
Not the best deal I ever made but those scooters are very funny to look at
and a Heinkel is expansive but easy to find.
Loading the Heinkel, driving to the North of Holland unloading the
Heinkel and loading the Tatran and the
Cezeta took almost all day.
Neither of the bikes were
running but it feld good so I took the risk.
The Tatran was not that nice although the
Cezeta was very nice and is completely restored the owner told me.
Next day at home I replaced the dead battery from the
Tatran
and tried to start her and yes she run almost right away. I did not test
drive her since all handlebars are sticking and the brakes are hardly
working. Takes a couple of hours to fix and make her save.
